Visa Applications for Germany Are Now Electronic

Visa applications can now be submitted online. However, this option is currently unavailable for citizens of Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. Residents of Uzbekistan, on the other hand, can already take advantage of this new feature.

The German Federal Foreign Office has launched an electronic portal for submitting applications for long-term national visas. This was announced on January 1.

According to a press release, the project was launched in a pilot mode two years ago. “Now it is becoming a digital reality in 167 visa centers worldwide. National visas are available in 28 categories in digital format,” the statement said.
